The following information and guidelines are for the HuntleyArea.biz Networking Group and its members. Modifications may be made by the Officers of the Board with ratification by the general membership.
Goals and Purpose
The success of the Huntley Networking Group is directly related to the active involvement of its members. Each qualified member of the group should view participation within our group as their responsibility to its success and, ultimately, their own.
Our primary goals may be viewed as:

Sharing effective business ideas and suggestions

Helping to promote the spirit of business ethics
It is for that purpose that specific guidelines are required to achieve goals and to promote an atmosphere where effective business communications can flourish.
Guidelines
Officers
President - shall preside at the meeting, induct new members into HuntleyArea.biz Networking Group and appoint committees as necessary.
Vice President - shall represent the president in the event of his-her absence, welcoming all first time guests and explaining the purpose and operation of the networking group.
Secretary - shall record all referrals and attendance of participants; record brief minutes of meetings; generate a quarterly report such for all members.
Treasurer - shall collect all dues and disburse all expense checks incurred.
Membership - shall retain all membership applications; all phone calls regarding the group shall be forwarded to the coordinator.
Public Relations - shall be responsible for all new releases, articles and promotion of the networking group.
Officers terms will be effective for a period of one year. Election will take place at the first meeting in January.
Meetings and Dues
- Dues are $80/year and payable the 2nd Thursday of the year. Members joining after June 30th may join for a prorated amount of $40 for the remainder of the year. The dues amount is subject to change by a vote of the majority of the members. .
- Meetings will be on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month in the morning from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. The site for the meeting will be determined by a majority of the members.
- Membership shall be limited to 25-30, however this limit may be adjusted by a vote of the members.
- Regular attendance of at least 3 meetings per quarter is required, however a member may encounter circumstances that will hinder this requirement for them. At this point, a member must contact the membership coordinator and explain the circumstance. During this time, a member may appoint a proxy to attend the meetings. Members who do not regularly attend meetings and do not actively participate in the group may be asked, at the discretion of the general membership, to leave the group. Membership participation and commitment to the group shall be reviewed quarterly by the general members.
- Membership in other networking groups. Membership in other networking groups outside of the Huntley area is allowable. Membership in multiple local networking groups is not allowed and those joining HuntleyArea.biz will be asked to leave any existing local group they are currently involved in.
- Potential new members may attend up to two meetings before making a commitment to the group. They may introduce their business and distribute their business card. However, promotional literature may not be distributed at this time.
- Members may attend officer meetings as scheduled.
